The Silkmoth Clan

A few years ago I was obsessed with the roleplaying system of Legend of the 5 Rings, specifically 4th edition. And so, inevitaby, I hombrewed a few things here and there.

This is one of said homebrews, the Silkmoth clan and its main family. A minor clan that, in my opinion, offers a more interesting take on what the Spider clan could have been, playing with the idea of weaving webs through a combat and emphasizing defense over offense.

It's worth mentioning that, while very fun when things go well, L5R is a system that really likes to emphasize the lethality of every attack, rather than make combats go on for very long, which is what this homebrew aspires to do. Where I'm getting at is... this is not meant to be overpowered, or even better than more mainstream options. Depending on how the GM runs the game it might even be unplayable. However, it's excellent for flavor and to toss in some interesting combats that break player expectations.
